PIVOTONIAN Cinema
Mark Walker
mlk design delivered the construction of Pivot Cinema from inception to completion with the utmost care, consideration & attention to detail. Through careful consideration and frequent on-site and personal contact, mlk design realised the scope of this project’s cultural and aesthetic importance. The cinema incorporates warm industrial finishes with subtle nods to art deco cinema traditions, without being obtrusive or garish; achieving an outstanding aesthetic that was so crucial to the high quality pastiche that we’d conceived.

Puya came on board the design team for our future home after we received the VCAT ruling for the design. We required significant changes to the VCAT approved floorplans. Puya managed the design development process to address all the changes and requirements with outstanding rigour and attention to detail. Puya helped us feel heard, taking our needs into consideration and through an extensive process of several months he facilitated shaping the new layout to what we were happy with.

Puya Malek was the project architect for the design of our home. From the very first session with Puya, we found him to be personable and trustworthy and of a cheerful and positive disposition. He understood our brief exceptionally well and translated that into an amazing design that we were extremely happy with. At every step of the project, Puya made us feel understood and took every bit of our needs and requests into consideration. We couldn’t have asked for a better architect!
