Pivotonian Cinema
Pivotonian cinema is the sole art house cinema in Victoria, outside of Melbourne. The brief for the project was to showcase the independent art sector feel through the use of rugged materials and feel throughout the space, with a touch of golden age of cinema nostalgia.
The cinema is located inside a 1912 storehouse and bakery and the design had its own usual challenges of revamping an the old structure while being fully compliant to DDA.
The interior design and fitouts were completed in association with Glen Rogers from Zero C Architects and Julian Beattie of MakeStuff.
